Oktoberfest, winemaking contest in Terrebonne


   Faith, Hope and Charity Vineyard in Terrebonne will be holding an Oktoberfest and amateur winemakers contest on Oct. 5, 6 and 7.
   Events will be held from 12-8 p.m., Friday; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday.
   Saturday the popular and talented Karl Kment will be playing accordian music from Vienna 1-3 p.m.
   Sunday traditional German music will be played by Lillian Jones on her accordion from 1-3 p.m.
   There will be brats, beer, wine, peach sangria, German chocolate cake, spezi, pretzels, potato salad, croquet, bocce, horseshoes, kids art, amateur winemakers competition and a potato salad contest.
   The Amateur Wine Makers Competition will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, with judging at 2 p.m. To enter, email This email address is being protected from spambots.    A potato salad cook-off will take place on Sunday, with judging at 2 p.m. There are two categories, traditional (family recipe) and German.

   There will be a panel of judges from Central Oregon, ribbons will be awarded, and winners will be featured on the winery's facebook page.
