A Madras man, Kevin Michael Elliott, 41, was sentenced to 20 years in prison Oct. 22, for three counts of first-degree rape.
Elliott was charged with raping a female under age 16 on at least three occasions. He pleaded guilty to the charges, which occurred around Dec. 1, 2011, Jan. 1, and Feb. 1, 2012.
"He will serve 20 years," said chief deputy district attorney Sheryl Blackman, who was satisfied with the sentence. "Child cases are our highest priority in this office, and they will continue to be."
Elliott must pay restitution of $629.42 to Pacific Source Community Solutions and $632.81 to the city of Madras. As part of plea negotiations, charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and four counts of third-degree sexual abuse were dismissed.
