Paper delayed for election

In order to have local results of the Nov. 6 general election, the Madras Pioneer will delay printing next week.
The delay means local subscribers will receive their newspaper a day later, on Thursday, Nov. 8, instead of Wednesday, Nov. 7. However, the Pioneer will be available at retail outlets beginning about noon on Wednesday, approximately four to five hours later than is standard.
Election results will also be posted on the Pioneer's website -- www.madraspioneer.com -- on Wednesday.
The Pioneer usually prints on Tuesday afternoons, but will print Wednesday morning next week.
We don't take delaying the paper lightly, but we hope our subscribers -- and the many who buy the Pioneer at retail outlets -- bear with us and appreciate having local election results in next week's paper.
