Barlow advances to second round showdown with rival Gresham
6A VOLLEYBALL - Bruins overcome a five-point deficit in opening set vs. Lincoln

Barlow's volleyball team turned back an early scare against Lincoln in the first round of the OSAA 6A playoffs Wednesday night and dispatched the Cardinals with a three-set sweep.
Lincoln moved out to a five-point lead in the opening game only to see Barlow surge into the lead 23-16 behind an eight-point service run by Lihau Perreira.
The Bruins won 11 of the last 13 points, securing set point when Margaret Paul sent a hard-hit ball cross-court to scramble the Lincoln defense, leaving the middle wide open for teammate Meg Marlett to convert set point.
The Bruins went on to win the match 25-18, 25-10, 25-21, setting up a Saturday showdown with cross-town rival Gresham at 5 p.m. The winner will punch a ticket to next week's 6A state tournament.
