> To the Editor,
The Madras Community Kitchen serves meals every Tuesday at the United Methodist Church; and it is time to publicly thank the groups who supply the food and labor.
Members of the Free Methodist, Seventh Day Adventist, and United Methodist churches, and the Front Porch Group from Madras Natural Health all cover a monthly Tuesday. Alpha Omicron Sorority, Xi Delta Epsilon Sorority, Soroptomists, Angela Harris's bunco group, the staff of McDonald's Restaurant, and Rebekahs all rotate covering the remaining Tuesdays.
Papa Murphy's regularly donates pizzas, cheesy breads, and dessert pizzas; and the Madras Senior Center (in conjunction with the Deer Ridge Prison) supplies food on a regular basis throughout the year. Cenex Harvest States made a sizable donation which enables us to buy the paper goods, plastic ware, and other Community Kitchen supplies. It truly is a community event.
Thanks again to all who make it possible.
