Holiday film party on tap at library

Features "ET" movie and treats for all ages

The Jefferson County Library Film Center is planning a holiday film party for young and old, and everyone in between on Dec. 7, with the showing of "ET the Extra-Terrestrial.
   This is the remastered 30th anniversary Blu-ray version of ET. Come see this classic film and enjoy some special "ET" refreshments.
   In the movie, a meek and alienated little boy finds a stranded extraterrestrial. He has to find the courage to defy the authorities to help the alien return to its home planet.
   "ET the Extra-Terrestrial" (rated PG) will be shown Friday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m., at the Rodriguez Annex, 134 S.E. E St., in Madras.
   A holiday break matinee will also be offered in December.
   On Thursday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m., the animated film "Madagascar 3," (rated PG), will be shown at teh Rodriguez Annex.
   In this movie, Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent -- Madagascar style.
   Refreshments will be available at both films.
