Mauritson named to 4A all-state team

The sophomore makes second team
The Oregonian has named its Class 4A all-state volleyball team, and there's a Madras White Buffalo on the list.
Sophomore outside hitter Shelby Mauritson, the Tri-Valley Conference co-player of the year, was named to the second team by a vote of 4A coaches from around the state.
Mauritson ended the season as the team's leader in kills with 366, second in assists with 212, and fourth in digs with 275.
She served at an 89 percent clip this year with 42 aces, good for fourth on the team.
She was also named to the second-team all-tournament team at the Class 4A state final site at Lane Community College in Eugene.
Crook County won its seventh-straight state championship and led overall selections with three. Senior Makalya Lindburg, a recent University of Portland signee, was named the state player of the year while junior Hannah Troutman was named the first-team as well.
Senior Annie Fraser was the Cowgirls' third pick to the team, named to the second team with Mauritson.
