   Operation Rudolph: Madras Kiwanis have placed toy collection boxes at Community First Bank, Bi-Mart, Les Schwab, Papa Murphy's, and Columbia State Bank to gather toys for needy local kids. They are working in conjunction with Toys For Tots. Kiwanis will wrap and deliver them.
   Sharing Tree in Culver: The Sharing Tree at Culver Market has name tags of needy residents. Pick a name, buy a gift and return it wrapped by Dec. 19. Food basket applications are available at city hall. Call 541-546-4502 for details.
   Fireman Bingo: Enjoy desserts, Fireman Bingo and a silent auction at culver City Hall starting at 6 p.m., with bingo at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9. This benefit for Christmas food baskets and gifts is sponsored by the Culver Community Improvement Group and Culver fire and Rescue Association.
   Farm Workers Toy Drive: Donations to the annual toy drive to provide Christmas gifts to the children of farm workers, organized by Jesse Rodriguez of Madras, can be made to the Farm Workers Toy Drive account at Columbia State Bank in Madras.
   Ashley manor collecting toys: Ashley Manor at 572 N.E. Oak St. in Madras, is holding a Toy Drive For Hope to help out needy families in the local community, in conjunction with Madras Kiwanis. New toys may be dropped off there.
   Home Federal food drive: Home Federal Bank and NeighborImpact are holding a food drive for those in need. Drop off nonpreishable food items at the Madras branch through Dec. 14.
   Light show at KOA: A "Keep Our Athletics Lights Spectacular" at the Central Oregon KOA RV Park at 2435 S.W. Jericho Lane in Culver. For a donation of $5 and two cans of food, spectators can drive through the light show from 6-9 p.m., Dec. 14-24, with proceeds benefiting Madras and Culver high schools sports programs and the Jefferson County Food Bank.
   Christmas carol concert: Saturday, Dec. 15, at Madras Gospel Mission Community Center, at D and Eighth streets, from 6:30-8 p.m. There will be Christmas carols and contemporary Christmas music, and holiday refreshments. Admission is free with nonperishable food-item donation. This is a benefit for the Madras Gospel Mission food outreach program.
