    The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the surrender and transfer of ownership and jurisdiction over the following County roads to the City of Madras:
   NW Earl Street (between Oregon State Hwy 26 and NW Conroy Street), NW Conroy Street (between NW Earl Street and NW Canal Street), NW Canal Street (between NW Conroy Street and NW Hess Street), and NW Hess Street (between NW Canal Street and Oregon State Hwy 26)
    The hearing will be held on the 19th day of December, 2012, at 9:45 a.m., in the County Conference Room, 66 SE "D" Street, Madras, Oregon. This will be the time and place for all interested persons to appear and present testimony on the proposed road transfer. For further information regarding the specific roads being transferred please contact the Jefferson County Public Works Department.

The hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 9:45 AM, in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room.     Solicitation of requests for financial assistance for implementing methods that limit wolf-livestock interaction.
    The Jefferson County Wolf Advisory Committee is seeking requests from property owners who want financial assistance for implementing methods that limit wolf-livestock interaction. The committee has approximately $2,500 available for projects. Projects must be completed by January 31, 2013.
    Project types include, but are not limited to: Bone Pile Removal, Fencing, and Fladry (fence flagging).
    The first review will be limited to the proposals submitted prior to 5:00 PM, Friday, December 14, 2012. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be reviewed by the Committee on a case-by- case basis.
