UPDATE • State troopers find Beaverton boy who disappeared Thursday from Gresham youth center
A 17-year-old from Beaverton who had been missing for three days was found Saturday night in the Hood River area.
Gresham police said Stephen Boeschnstein was located by Oregon State Police and was being returned to the Kerr Youth Center in Gresham, where he was a resident.
Boeschenstein apparently jumped two fences at the center, 722 N.E. 162 Ave., where he was living, at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, said Gresham police spokeswoman Officer Malaka Kerbs.
Police said the young man suffers from schizoaffective disorder and without his daily medication suffers from audible hallucinations, which tell him to harm himself.
He was last seen running southbound toward Northeast Glisan Street. Also, he is not familiar with the Gresham/Portland area.
