Man dies in Forest Grove shooting

No clear indication of motive or connection to gangs
A man was fatally shot a few blocks from downtown Forest Grove late Monday night.
Forest Grove police responded to reports of the shooting in the 2200 block of B Street shortly after 10 p.m. Officers found the body of Luis Manuel Guzman, 28, who had been shot.
Initial reports from television stations mentioned a car that left the general area, but police haven't been able to determine if that is related to the shooting.
Witnesses say they heard three shots fired. Police haven't determined how many times Guzman was shot or the exact cause of death, but officers arrived on the scene within two minutes of the 9-1-1 call.
So far, there isn't any information to connect the crime to drugs or gang activity.
Police said there weren't any other disturbances at the green fourplex before Guzman was shot.
All indications are that Guzman was standing on the porch of the apartment house when he was shot.
What he was doing before 10 p.m. is a mystery.
Forest Grove police are receiving assistance from members of the Washington County Major Crimes Team. Several other agencies, including the Cornelius Police Department and Washington County Sheriff's Office.
