Police blotter - Nov. 17, 2011

BURGLARIES

11/8/11 7:23 p.m. Three vehicles at a house on Fairway Road were burglarized. The first vehicle was robbed of driver's license and $10. Vehicle 2 was left alone. The third vehicle was robbed of $40 in cash, a black and pink bag containing $200, and $5 in coins.

11/11/11 8:48 a.m. A car parked in a garage was robbed of a purse, driver's license and credit cards with a total value of $300. The credit cards have since been used in the Gladstone area.

THEFT

11/7/11 1:29 p.m. A deceased woman's wheelchair was stolen from a senior living facility.

11/7/11 1:51 p.m. A fraudulent check was sent to a man when he answered an ad to buy a vehicle.

11/9/11 7:36 a.m. A car was smashed and robbed on Carman Drive. Items stolen included a Mountain Smith bag with contents. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Total loss was set at $450.

11/9/11 4:56 p.m. An iPod Touch 32G was stolen from a PE locker at Lakeridge High School.

11/10/11 7:43 a.m. An unlocked car on Carman Drive was robbed of items valued at $250, including riding boots, sweater, winter gloves, and iPod.

11/10/11 7:43 a.m. A carton of Marlboro cigarettes was stolen from a car on Carman Drive after a thief gained entry by smashing in the rear window.

11/10/11 8:27 a.m. A laptop valued at $800 was stolen from a car on Jefferson Parkway. Entry was gained by breaking a rear passenger window.

11/11/11 12:36 p.m. A stereo and backpack with school supplies were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Westview Drive.

11/11/11 4 p.m. An iPad worth $759 was stolen at St. Honore Bakery.

11/11/11 4:20 p.m. A shirt valued at $130 was stolen at Pasha Boutique.

11/11/11 7:21 p.m. A 14-year-old juvenile ran away from home but was soon caught.

11/13/11 12:26 a.m. A laptop worth $750 was stolen from a car on Centerpointe Drive.

11/13/11 10:02 a.m. A car on D Avenue was robbed of a Tomtom GPS, inverter cell and cell phone charger.

11/14/11 4:58 p.m. Scooters were taken from Forest Hills Elementary School. Determined value was $35.

MISC.

11/7/11 10:03 a.m. A worker at a youth facility suffered a neck/shoulder injury from being assaulted by a client. The 13-year-old subject will probably be charged with menacing, strangulation, assault and harassment.

11/7/11 11:50 a.m. Chronic shoplifting has been taking place at the Rite Aid on Bryant Road over the past three days. The method is one subject distracts an employee while the other takes high-ticket items.

11/7/11 6:39 p.m. An angry neighbor yelled at a woman driver for driving too fast, then aggressively grabbed her arm and accused her of drinking.

11/8/11 10:30 a.m. A loss of $1 was determined for a broken door handle at Westridge Elementary School.

11/8/11 11:01 a.m. A car parked too long on Cherry Crest Avenue caught fire during the night. It soon will be towed away.

11/8/11 2:17 p.m. A man is violating the spirit of being removed from Safeway by hanging out nearby.

11/8/11 4:09 p.m. An estranged husband was making rude gestures as he followed his wife home from her lawyer's office on Spruce Street.

11/9/11 9:13 a.m. At Foothills Park, a rock on a playground was spray painted, causing $100 in damage.

11/9/11 10:27 a.m. Michael Edward Hayes, 42, registered as a sex offender.

11/9/11 12:29 p.m. Melrose Street is being plagued by speeding drivers who seldom stop for pedestrians.

11/9/11 3:16 p.m. A student found with drug paraphernalia with residue on it was brought in to the office at Lake Oswego High School.

11/9/11 4:01 p.m. Jonathan I. Strider, 53, registered as a sex offender.

11/9/11 4:01 p.m. While coming home from college for a visit, an 18-year-old freshman lost his wallet with credit cards, cash, and student ID card.

11/9/11 4:57 p.m. A 16-year-old daughter, possibly high on drugs, is acting up and refusing to go to school.

11/10/11 8:43 a.m. A mother was upset after her son sneaked in someone to sleep overnight at their residence on Ash Street.

11/10/11 3:27 p.m. A woman who had been removed from Rivergrove Elementary School suddenly showed up again.

11/10/11 6:03 p.m. A man walked into traffic on Country Club Road and started yelling at himself.

11/10/11 10:26 p.m. A group of juveniles was spotted smoking and drinking in the parking lot of Lake Grove Elementary.

11/12/11 9:01 a.m. Since being removed from a location on Jefferson Parkway, a young man has been stalking a tenant.

11/13/11 1:55 a.m. A maid has been barricading herself inside a man's room every night for the last year.

11/13/11 10:16 a.m. A daughter's dad has been making death threats against the girl's mother, and she is requesting extra police patrols.

11/13/11 3:21 p.m. Two female shoplifters have now been removed from the Glass Butterfly.

11/13/11 5:08 p.m. Two dogs invaded a woman's yard on Tamaway Drive and attacked her dog, which suffered minor wounds.

11/14/11 9:43 a.m. A 16-year-old was caught with a large marijuana pipe at Lakeridge High School. The juvenile was then referred to Clackamas County Juvenile Department.

11/14/11 11:15 a.m. A trasher threatened to kill a complainer who had asked him to pick up his garbage at a public storage facility.

11/14/11 2:45 p.m. Police assistance is being asked to curtail shoplifting going on at the shop inside Lakewood Center for the Arts.

11/14/11 3:14 p.m. A loud man began yelling when he was asked to leave a restaurant on State Street, even though it was closed at the time.

11/14/11 3:56 p.m. A dog on Snowberry Court suddenly turned on its master and bit him on the chin.

11/14/11 4:03 p.m. Ernest Lucian Ritchie, 29, registered as a sex offender.

11/14/11 4:42 p.m. Three juveniles was seen smoking something in the treed area by a pizza restaurant on Westlake Drive.

11/14/11 5:42 p.m. A man keeps falling asleep inside a store on Monroe Parkway. He was later taken by cab to the Portland airport.

11/14/11 5:59 p.m. An apparently drunken driver nearly drove his swerving car into the back of a bus pulling over on Kruse Way.

11/14/11 8:04 p.m. A scary looking panhandler is bothering shoppers at Albertsons.

11/14/11 10:48 p.m. A big black dog is running loose and eating out of garbage cans on Sunset Drive.

FRAUD

11/7/11 12:46 p.m. A woman on Pacific Highway is getting scam phone calls saying she has won $2.5 million but has to send money in order to receive it.

11/9/11 9:58 a.m. A Western Union message was received by a woman on Touchstone Terrace, who was told to deposit $190 in exchange for receiving a grant for $70,000.

11/9/11 10:10 a.m. 'Winners International Pay Out Services' informed a man he had won a free car but first had to purchase a money pack reload card for $375.

11/10/11 10:29 a.m. Credit card fraud was committed against a local woman from somewhere in California.
