The Oregon Lottery opened a new kiosk in a shared space with the Woodburn Visitor and Information Center.Visitors hoping to scratch and win when they come to the Woodburn Premium Outlets now have that opportunity with the Oregon Lottery kiosk sharing a space with the Woodburn Visitor’s Information Center.

New products include the “Scratch-it” game, PowerBall, Mega Millions and Megabucks, said Stacy Shaw, assistant director for sales, marketing and retail services for the Oregon Lottery.

“With the Oregon Lottery here, we can entertain visitors with a variety of games and the proceeds benefit Oregonians,” Shaw said.

Revenues from the lottery total approximately $1 billion annually and fund education, business development, watershed and infrastructure projects, she said.

The mall, which recently changed ownership to Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group, attracts roughly 4.5 million visitors per year with 30,000 stopping at the visitor center each year, said Don Judson, executive director for the Woodburn Chamber of Commerce, which operates the visitor center.

“For the last five years, this has been a free space for us to rent,” Judson said. “But this is a valuable space and we wanted to generate some revenue for the space.”

The chamber recently signed a two-year lease and will continue operating rent-free at the mall. Since the Oregon Lottery opened its kiosk, visitors have increased each month, Judson said.
