WATER POLO - Reynolds takes early lead before South Eugene storms back for the win

What expectations could one of the youngest water polo teams in Oregon have entering this season? Regardless of the result of their Class 6A third place match last Saturday, Reynolds was guaranteed its best finish in more than three decades.

Reynolds started fast in Saturday's third-place match, but a veteran South Eugene squad caught them before halftime and went on to win 14-9.

'(South Eugene) defended well tonight,' Reynolds' head coach Dan Anderson said. 'They turned us into a perimeter shooting team. They took a lot of scoring away from Sterling (Anderson). They played well.'
