Saints survive scare against North champ Shoreline
NWAACC VOLLEYBALL - Saints take on Walla Walla at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for a berth into the championship match

The Mt. Hood Community College volleyball team saw its Northwest championship hopes go on life support Friday morning only to rally for a thrilling five-set win over North champion Shoreline in the second round.
'Resilience has been our word all year,' Saints coach Chelsie Speer said. 'We made a few changes, but in the end it came down to believing as a team that we could get it done.'
Mt. Hood started to turn the tide with a quick start to the third set, moving ahead 16-9 when setter Riley Engelson sent a surprise attack over the net that fell between a crowd of diving Dolphins.
The Saints maintained the advantage when Devan Belshe converted a back-row attack, while Kaitlyn Maddams added a clean cross-court winner. The Saints pushed it to set point when Casi Johnson beat Shoreline's Hannah Stoeve on a battle in the middle....
