Firefighters responded to a fire Thursday morning at a familiar house in LINDSAY KEEFER - Firefighters attack the back of this house at 453 Montgomery St., where a fire started Thursday morning. The gutters are still in need of repair after another fire attacked the house from the front 21 months ago.

The house at 453 Montgomery St. went up in flames a mere 21 months ago, on Nov. 5, 2011. but while that fire started due to electrical issues in the front, this fire started in an upstairs bedroom near the back of the house.

"Last time, we were the ones who called 911," recalled neighbor Becky Eggers. "We were pounding on the house so they would wake up. The street was so quiet that you could hear the crackling. This time, the police showed up first so we thought they were making an arrest."

The two alarm fire was extinguished by 9 a.m. No injuries were reported.

"We're still trying to determine the cause," said Woodburn Fire Chief Paul Iverson.
