Police captain placed on leave

Todd Wyatt charged with weapons offense in Idaho

A Portland police captain has been placed on administrative leave after being charged with displaying a deadly weapon in Idaho earlier this year.

Todd Wyatt is facing six months in jail and a $1,000 for the crime, which is a misdemeanor.

The incident happened in August when Wyatt was off duty. It has previously been described as a road rage incident.

Since Wyatt as first arrested, he has been working on special projects under the direction of Assistant Chief Larry O'Dea. Wyatt was placed on leave under police bureau policies.
