Woman killed trying to cross SE Powell Blvd.

UPDATE • Victim was a 61-year-old woman
A woman crossing Southeast Powell Boulevard was struck by a car and killed Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, police identified the woman as 61-year-old Margaret Thatcher.
Police were called at about 7:54 p.m. to Southeast 31st Avenue and Powell Boulevard where they found the seriously injured woman. A passerby attempted CPR but the woman died at the scene of the accident.
Police said the woman was not in a crosswalk when she attempted to cross the road and was struck by a car traveling east on Powell Boulevard. The car's driver was cooperating in the investigation and there was no indication that the driver was impaired.
The Traffic Division Major Crash Team is investigating the accident.
