Northeast thoroughfare shit down Friday morning

A fatal crash closed Northeast Columbia Boulevard Friday morning.

The name of the crash victim was not immediately available.

According to police, at 7:06 a.m., officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a multiple car crash involving a semi-tractor on Columbia Boulevard at Northeast 42nd Avenue.

After they arrived, the officers determined that one person was fatally injured in the crash. The Traffic Division Major Crash Team was called to the scene to conduct the investigation. Columbia Boulevard at 42nd was closed to east and westbound traffic for several hours.
