Fuel spill impacts traffic in Damascus
Traffic is backed up on Highway 212 because of a fuel spill.
Boring Fire District responded at 9:20 a.m. to a call on Tuesday, Nov. 29, of a fuel spill on Southeast Highway 212 and 202nd Avenue., said Tammy Owen, district spokeswoman.
Crews discovered a tractor-trailer with a ruptured fuel tank in the highway's center turn lane.
They stopped the leak, preventing fuel from reaching nearby storm drains. However, highway traffic is backed up and only one lane is open.
