First Friday

WHAT: First Friday in Troutdale. Visit downtown Troutdale and enjoy art, music, wine and food. The Troutdale Historical Society, 277 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, is featuring an artist demonstration by Inga Ojala and other artists, live music by Swingali and book signings by local authors, Sharon Nesbit, Chuck Rollins, Clarence Mershon and Joe Schwab. Visit other Troutdale merchants for First Friday events like wine tastings and holiday open houses.

WHEN: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.

WHERE: Along the Historic Columbia River Highway in downtown Troutdale.

COST: Free.

Harlow House Christmas

WHAT: Stop by for some holiday spirit, enjoy a glass of wassail and cookies and even have your photo taken with Santa. There will also be a raffle drawing, with a lucky winner taking home a handmade quilt. Built in 1900, the historic building was the home of Fred Harlow, son of Troutdale's founding father, Capt. John Harlow.

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
