Gresham driver involved in two-car crash near Canby
A Gresham man was involved in a two-vehicle crash Monday evening, Nov. 28, north of Canby that injured a 17-year-old Molalla girl.
The girl was turning left onto Highway 99E from South Haines Road in a 1990 Acura when she was struck on the left side by a southbound 2012 Jeep Rubicon, driven by Keith H. Dahlheimer, 55, of Gresham, according to Oregon State Police.
Dahlheimer did not appear to be at fault because the girl pulled out in front of the Jeep, said Lt. Gregg Hastings, Oregon State Police spokesman.
The girl was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Oregon Health and Science University for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. She was using safety restraints.
Dahlheimer, who was using safety restraints, was not transported for treatment.
Oregon State Police troopers were assisted at the scene by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the Canby Police Department, the Canby Fire Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The northbound lanes were closed for about two hours.
