Man arrested in connection with East Portland robbery in March
Portland police arrested 34-year-old Ervan Ronnell Herring on Tuesday, Nov. 29, in connection with a home invasion robbery in East Portland in March.
Herring was booked into the Multnomah County jail on multiple counts of robbery, kidnapping and felon in possession of a firearm. One firearm was recovered after Herring's arrest.
Herring, a Southeast Portland resident, will be arraigned Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Herring and 29-year-old Ricky Ricardo Branch Jr. of Northeast Portland allegedly went to a residence in the 15500 block of Southeast Lincoln Street on March 3, armed with handguns, and demanded narcotics from the residents, according to police.
Nobody was injured during the robbery. Gang Enforcement Team detectives began investigating and learned of the identities of the two suspects.
Branch was arrested on April 4 and faces multiple felony Measure 11 crimes including robbery and kidnapping.
