Two local girls teams are in LIS
Southridge, Westview will play in the top draw at Lake Oswego
The annual Laker Interstate Shootout high school girls basketball tournament will make its return to Lake Oswego High School from Dec. 27-30, and two local schools will be represented in the top bracket.
Southridge and Westview's varsity girls teams will both participate in the Swoosh Bracket of the 2011 LIS tournament. That bracket features a total of 16 top teams from Oregon and across the Western United States.
In addition to the Skyhawks and Wildcats varsity teams, the 2011 field will also include the following Oregon girls varsity squads: Lincoln, St. Mary's, Hermiston, Tigard, McNary, Oregon City, Central Catholic, South Medford, Clackamas and Glencoe.
This year's out-of-state invitees are: Santa Fe, NM; Skyview, Wash.; Woodinville, Wash.; and Iolani, Hawaii.
