Class 5A title game fast facts

Here are a few fast facts for Saturday's Sherwood-Mountain View Class 5A state championship football game.

THE GAME:

The Class 5A state football championship game between Sherwood and Mountain View will start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium. General Admission prices are $10 for adults and $5 for students. The parking fee at Hillsboro Stadium is $4 per vehicle. Sherwood will be the designated visiting team and Mountain View will be the designated home team.

ON THE AIR:

The Class 5A state championship game will be broadcast live online at osaa.tv. On radio, the game will be broadcast locally on KUIK 1360 AM.

LAST MEETING:

The Bowmen defeated Mountain View 41-18 in a non-league game played Sept. 16 at Sherwood High School.

PREVIOUS TITLE GAME APPEARANCES:

Sherwood scored a 26-23 overtime win over Marist in the 2010 Class 5A state championship game to claim its only state title. The Bowmen fell in state championship contests in 1993, 2004 and 2005. Mountain View has never played in a state championship game.

TITLE TOWN:

The Sherwood High School girls soccer team won a state championship less than two weeks ago, beating Wilsonville 1-0 in the Class 5A state title tilt. In the 2010-2011 school year, Sherwood won state crowns in football, volleyball and baseball.
