Oliver Elementary parents selling Christmas trees
The Parents Club at Oliver Elementary School, 15840 S.E. Taylor St., Portland, is selling Christmas trees as well as hosting a Crafters Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the cafeteria.
Santa Claus will visit, and there will be concessions and a book fair. The trees cost between $15 and $25.
For more information, call Denise McIntyre at 503-550-8258 to order a tree, and they'll be delivered to the school on either Dec. 3, 10 or 17.
Boy Scouts troop sells trees
Boy Scouts from Troop 586 are again selling Christmas trees at the corner of Division Street and Kane Drive behind the 7-11 store.
The tree lot is open 4 to 9 p.m. weeknights and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends. Noble firs and shaped grand firs are available for only $20 per tree.
All proceeds from the sale help pay for the boys to go to summer camp. Additional contributions to Troop 586 are appreciated and are tax deductable.
