Two men wounded in suspected gang shooting

Two men were injured in a suspected gang-related shooting in North Portland late Friday.
Dennis Ray Wilson Jr., 23, and Lonnell Demarcus George, 23, are both recovering from gunshot wounds in an area hospital.
According to police, at 11:42 p.m. on Dec. 2, officers assigned to North Precinct and the Gang Enforcement Team responded to the report of multiple gunshots heard in the area of North Vancouver Avenue and North Beech Street. After they arrived, the officers found one man lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the lower legs and buttocks. Medical personnel responded and transported him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Moments later, a second gunshot victim was dropped off at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center by a private car. He was also shot in the leg and was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
