1A GIRLS BASKETBALL - Big scoring run to start game sends Waldorf to the win
Portland Lutheran's offense is fast, but against Portland Waldorf, it was too fast for its own good.
The Blue Jays turned the ball over five times in the first four minutes of regulation, which helped the Wolfpack score 14-unanswered points to start the game.
It wasn't until the second half when the Blue Jays settled down and started chipping away at a 14-point deficit. A 3-pointer by forward Danica Roady midway through the fourth quarter cut the deficit to single digits for the first time since early in the first quarter.
The Wolfpack's lead would eventually prove to be too much for the Blue Jays to overcome, as they lost to Portland Waldorf 50-38 in the start of Class 1A Valley 10 league play for both teams on Tuesday...
