6A BOYS HOOPS - Jesuit starts fast never looks back in nonleague win
PORTLAND - David Douglas had won its first two games of the year, but Tuesday night marked perhaps its biggest test in school history with reigning 6A boys champ Jesuit coming into the gym.
The Crusaders lived up to their reputation, racing out to a 16-7 lead in the game's opening minutes. David Douglas put together a few challenges, but Jesuit had the answer each time.
Taye Baker hit a 3 from the corner to bring the Scots home gym to life, and the team's next possessions saw it pound the boards for a series of chances at the rim before Adrian Koza tipped the ball home to bring Douglas within five points late in the first quarter. ...
