Fire destroys Fairview mobile home

Family of five escapes without injury

A fire has destroyed a Fairview mobile home, displacing a family of five.

Gresham Fire and Emergency Services extinguished the 2:24 a.m. fire Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Rolling Hills Mobile Terrace and RV Park in the 20100 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

Two adults and three children escaped without injury, but were unable to grab any possessions, said Joel Weiler, spokesman for the Oregon Trail Chapter of the America Red Cross.

The fire destroyed the home and its contents, Weiler added.

Red Cross volunteers are helping the family with lodging, food and clothing.
