Portland's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating two shootings that occurred about an hour apart in North Portland Thursday afternoon.
No one was injured in the shootings. Police were able to collect shell casings at both crime scenes, but no one has been arrested in the incidents.
Officers from the North Precinct were called at about 5:14 p.m. to North Albina Avenue north of Killingsworth Street across Portland Community College's Cascade campus, where witnesses said two African American men in a dark American sedan fired several shots from handguns at other cars in the school parking lot across from the campus.
Three vehicles were hit and one of the cars was trying to drive out of the lot when it was struck with a bullet. No one was injured.
At about 6:21 p.m., officers with the North Precinct were called to the 4100 block of North Commercial Avenue, where someone fired about a dozen shots. Witnesses said two vehicles, a white SUV and a red sedan, were involved in the shooting.
Again, no one was injured and police have no suspects. Officers also could not find any property damaged by the bullets.
