Portland Metro Concert Band's Holiday Concert

WHAT: The Portland Metro Concert Band is an adult band composed of musicians who enjoy playing music. Members range from college students to retired professionals. The December concert features Christmas music and a variety of concert band music, including Broadway, classical and jazz selections.

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16.

WHERE: David Douglas High School, Horner Performing Arts Center, 1400 S.E. 130th Ave., Portland.

'Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol'

WHAT: The Nutz-n-Boltz Theater Company's latest production looks at the classic Christmas story 'A Christmas Carol' through the eyes of Jacob Marley, Ebenezer Scrooge's deceased business partner. Marley has one night to find his way through the spirit world, mend his wicked ways, and help reform his business partner. Four actors portray all the beloved characters from Charles Dickens' story, plus a few new faces are brought to life.

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday and 3 p.m. Saturday until Dec. 18.

WHERE: Boring-Damascus Grange Hall, 27861 Grange St., Boring.

COST: Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and free for children ages 6 and younger. Tickets are available in advance or at the door.
