Christmas Breakfast Fundraiser - 7 a.m., Greater Gresham Baptist Church, 3848 N.E. Division St. This fundraiser, sponsored by the Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce, will benefit SnowCap Community Charities, My Father's House and Human Solutions. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the chamber or by calling 503-674-8785, ext. 17.

Holiday Bake Sale - 10 a.m., Gresham Senior Center, 600 N.E. Eighth St. The senior center is selling delicious, fresh-baked desserts. The sale continues until all items are gone.

Community Christmas Potluck - 6 p.m., Troutdale House by the Sandy, 411 E. Historic Columbia River Highway, Troutdale. Families are invited to bring a favorite main dish or dessert to share and enjoy a night of live music and a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Friday Night Basketball - 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Walt Morey Middle School, 2801 S.W. Lucas Drive, Troutdale. Free basketball games for ages 12 to 17; sponsored by Troutdale Recreation and supervised by Troutdale police. Participants must bring photo identification and be dressed to play.

SATURDAY, DEC. 17

Christmas Toys Collection - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Walmart, 23500 N.E. Sandy Blvd., Wood Village. Troutdale police and Multnomah County sheriff's deputies are collecting toys for deserving children and teenagers. Drop off donations at the collection site at the east store entrance. The event repeats on Sunday.

Guide Dogs for the Blind Graduation - 1:30 p.m., Guide Dogs for the Blind, 32901 S.E. Kelso Road, Boring. A public graduation ceremony for blind men and women who have completed the program and will return home with a new canine. Call 503-668-2100 for information.
