West Linn's annual holiday parade down Willamette Falls Drive once again draws a huge crowd

On Dec. 10, West Linn's historic Willamette neighborhood was once again aglow with holiday spirit as the site of the city's annual holiday parade.

The second annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Dash and the first-ever Puddle Scuttle preceded the parade on its traditional route down Willamette Falls Drive. This year, participants tailored their floats and costumes to a 'Babes in Toyland' theme.

Attendees packed the sides of street with paradegoers young and old - all hoping to grab up a few pieces of the candy thrown their way.

After the parade, West Linners headed to the Willamette Fire Station for cookies, cider, cocoa and a little one-on-one time with Santa.

And, Historic Willamette: A Main Street Community kept spirits high with an afternoon of holiday-themed retail and dining specials, carolers and horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the district.

Throughout the day, community members took the celebration as an opportunity to give to those less fortunate, donating food to the West Linn Food Pantry and holiday gifts to local children in need.
