Cavaliers swamp Pioneers
Clackamas High tankers took care of business in a Dec. 8 Three Rivers League dual swim meet with Oregon City.
Clackamas guys won first place in nine events en route to a 119-49 dual trouncing of the Pioneers; Clackamas girls won eight events and prevailed 110-57.
Cieran and Conor Smythe headed the effort for the Cavalier boys, both swimmers contributing to four wins.
Cieran set the pace in the 100-freestyle (53.70) and 200-freestyle (1:59.31), and he helped pace the Cavalier 200-medley and freestyle relay teams to victories.
Conor headed the field in the 100-backstroke (1:02.50) and 500-freestyle (5:29.50), and he helped bring the Cavalier 200-medley and 400-freestyle relay teams victories.
Clackamas girls were led by Shanelle Cayateno. She played a role in four wins, setting the pace in the girls 100-backstroke (1:09.30) and the 50-freestyle (25.67), and helping pace Clackamas girls' 200-medley and 400-freestyle relay teams to victory.
