Business Roundup
by: Submitted photo Leslie and Todd McCabe, active Sherwood real estate professionals, have joined Keller Williams Realty.

SHERWOOD - The McCabe Real Estate Group has left John L. Scott to join the Keller Williams Realty Portland Premiere Market Center. Todd and Leslie McCabe are not only recognized for selling homes, but for giving back in big ways all year long.

Leslie McCabe is the 2011 Sherwood Citizen of the Year recipient. The couple is known for helping start the Relay for Life of Sherwood, the American Cancer Society fundraising event. And they have donated thousands of dollars each year to the community - their 2011 fifth annual Egg Hunt for Hope alone raised more than $3,700 for a local Sherwood family affected by cancer.

This past spring, the McCabes announced what they called the $60 McCabe Money Grow Challenge. They gave 26 participants each $60 and asked them to grow that $60 into more money. When the participant was done growing it, they were to donate it to their favorite charity, organization or to a local family in need. The McCabes' initial donation of $1,560 grew close to $20,000, and Woman's World magazine was inspired by the pay-it-forward story and will feature Leslie McCabe in late January or early February.
