School sign is an obstruction
Hurray, hurray for Dave Hanlon. He has put into words what many of us have been thinking about the school district's new sign at the corner of EM Watts and Highway 30. Between the fence, new trees and now the sign, you can not get a good view of the intersection until you are in it.
The city says the sign is legal. I say that it is time for the city to take another look at the sign ordinance to eliminate future problems like the placement of this sign.
The school district should also think about the safety concerns this sign creates. Just because something is legal doesn't make it a good idea. Do we need to wait until someone gets killed at this intersection before something gets done?
