Police car crashes in Southwest Portland, ending pursuit that began in Lake Oswego
A police pursuit that began in Lake Oswego ended in Southwest Portland early morning Thursday.
A Portland patrol car assisting Lake Oswego officers in the case crashed at Southwest 25th Avenue and Huber Street, police reported. The officer in the car suffered minor injuries, and minor property damage was noted at a residence near the accident.
Police found the suspect's vehicle nearby without the suspect in it. A K-9 unit searched the area, and eventually the suspect was found in a backyard shed.
Police arrested Mitchell Scott Talley, 26, of Southwest Portland, in connection with the case. Lake Oswego officers lodged him at Clackamas County Jail.
