Police search for missing girl

Public asked to help find Kalpana Wagley, 16

Police are asking the public to help find a missing 16-year-old girl believed to be in the company of a 19-year-old man.

Kalpana Wagley, 16, has been missing since 5:15 p.m. Friday. Investigators believe she may be in the company of Birat Linbu, 19. He is described as a friend and lives in Southeast Portland.

Kalpana is a female Nepalese, 5", 94 pounds, and mid-back length black hair. She was last seen wearing knee-length, cut-off blue jeans, dark brown ski-type boots, and a black vest under a white jacket. At the time, Kalpana was in a parking lot at 12645 Southeast Division Street with an unknown male, possibly in his 30s.

Anyone who knows of Kalpana's whereabouts is asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to call Detective Arjay Dran at (503) 823-0483.
