The memorial for Katie Kammeyer, 18, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 in the Estacada Junior High Auditorium.

A 2011 Estacada High School graduate, Katie Kammeyer, 18, died in a crash on Sunday night.

Kammeyer was the only person in her 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe when she failed to negotiate a curve, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a ditch and a power pole.

The crash took place at 8:40 p.m. on Currin Road, between Eagle Creek Road and Duus Road. The Clackamas County Sheriff's office has determined that drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the crash, however speed may have been a factor.

Kammeyer was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
