Lady Indians down Roosevelt

Scappoose holds 26-12 second half edge for win

The Scappoose Lady Indians broke open a fairly close game in the second half Tuesday night, Dec. 13 and went on to a 51-32 win.

Roosevelt had led the contest by a point after one period, but the Tribe jumped out to a 25-20 lead by halftime. They upped the margin to double digits by the end of three and then held Roosevelt to just two points in the fourth period.

Brittany Catlow led all scorers with 15 points and Abby Kessi was also in double figures with 13.

The win boosted the Tribe girls to 3-2 on the season. They are currently ranked 14th in the Oregon School Activities Association power rankings, right behind Tillamook and four behind Astoria.

The Lady Indians were at the Gladstone Tournament last Friday and Saturday. Next week they are at the Stayton Tournament, and #8200;Dec. 28-30.
