Kenneth Don Feldman

Longtime Lake Oswego resident Kenneth Don Feldman died Dec. 2, 2011 of Alzheimer's disease. He was 66.

Dr. Feldman was born Oct. 10, 1945 in Abilene, Texas and spent most of his childhood in Burnt Hills, N.Y.

He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1967 and from the University of California at San Francisco Medical School in 1973. He practiced pathology in Ojai, Ventura and Chico, Calif., and moved to Portland in 1985 where he performed general, vascular and trauma surgery.

Dr. Feldman had a passion for golf, was an avid runner and appreciated a good meal with an aged bottle of wine and a fine cigar.

Surviving him are his wife of 37 years, Eva, of Lake Oswego; son and daughter-in-law, Erik Feldman and Suzanne Rhoney, Ojai; daughters, Maja Feldman, Portland, and Kristina Feldman, Berkeley, Calif.; grandsons, Max Feldman and Hawk Feldman; mother, Gladys Feldman, Lake Oswego; and brothers, Bill Feldman, Peach Tree City, Ga., and Larry Feldman, Lake Oswego.

A celebration of Dr. Feldman's life will be held at Oswego Lake Country Club on Jan. 14 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Shirley Burnett

Shirley Marie Burnett died Dec. 13, 2011, just short of her 87th birthday.

Mrs. Burnett was born Dec. 17, 1924, to Edmund and Nellie Peik in Lake Oswego. She graduated from West Linn High School in 1942.

She married Harold Burnett on Dec. 9, 1945. The couple had four children. They had been married for 52 years when Mr. Burnett died in 1997.

Mrs. Burnett enjoyed walking, crafting, garage sale shopping, gardening and camping. Her faith was of great importance to her. She volunteered with the Oregon City Senior Center.

Survivors include her children, Wes Burnett, Portland, Donna Wright, Milwaukie, Rose Chapin, Oregon City, and Bob Burnett, Gladstone; brother, Wilbur Peik, Oregon City; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Mrs. Burnett's life will be held at Hillside Chapel, 1306 Seventh St., Oregon City on Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m.

Lillie Mae Barlow

Former Lake Oswego resident Lillie Mae Barlow died Dec. 16, 2011, in Arimo, Idaho. She was 81.

Mrs. Barlow was born April 3, 1930, in Mayfield, Okla., to Robert Ray and Winnie V. (Ritchey) Minyard.

Her family moved to Sandy from Oklahoma in 1936. She was raised in Mayfield and Sandy and graduated valedictorian of Sandy High School class of 1947.

She married William L. Barlow on Sept. 6, 1948. Mr. Barlow died Feb. 25, 1999.

Mrs. Barlow was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as president of primary and young women's youth groups.

Survivors include her children, Leslie Suva, Marilyn Binger, John Barlow and Ray Barlow; and her sister, Geri (Richardson) Crane. A daughter, Victoria Ann, died as an infant.

Private services will be held.
