New year starts with murder on LTCs stage
Blood, murder and double-crosses … the perfect way to start the new year. Lakewood Theatre Company will open its 59th season with the all-new production of the mystery-thriller, 'Deadly Murder.' With stage direction by Alan Shearman, the show features the talents of Adrienne Flagg, Leif Norby and Ty Boice. The production is a Portland area premiere.
'Deadly Murder' opens Jan. 13 with performances running through Feb. 19 with 7:30 p.m. shows Thursday through Saturday, Sunday 7 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. matinees on Jan. 22, Feb. 5, 12 and 19.
The story follows Camille Dargus (Adrienne Flagg) who has fought her way up from humble beginnings to a glittering Manhattan lifestyle. She has beauty, brains, wealth and a successful career as a jewelry designer for the leading lights of New York society. She also has a penchant for young men. One night she picks up Billy (Ty Boice), a waiter at a social function, and brings him home. There is more to Billy than meets the eye, and before long Camille has summoned her security guard, Ted (Leif Norby), to get Billy out of her apartment. And so begins a game of cat-and-mouse involving a mysterious jewel, reversals, crosses and double-crosses, murder and a devastating trip into the past that Camille has tried to leave behind.
