The Washington County Chambers of Commerce Partnership will host an Oregon 1st Congressional District Candidate Debate on Jan. 10 at Tigard's Broadway Rose Theater, 12850 S.W. Grant Ave.
The 7:30 a.m. event will feature Democratic candidate Suzanne Bonamici and Republican Rob Cornilles, who will discuss their positions on business and the economy.
The event is free to invited guests and all Washington County Chambers of Commerce Partnership member businesses, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the theater and moderated by Broadway Rose Theater General Manager and Tigard Chamber Board President Dan Murphy. Doors open at 7 a.m.
Oregon's 1st Congressional District is Oregon's northwest corner, and includes more than 680,000 voters in Washington, Clatsop, Columbia and Yamhill counties. Voters will decide between Bonamici and Cornilles in a Jan. 31 special election.
The Washington County Chambers of Commerce Partnership is made up of eight regional chambers of commerce that make up the membership of the organization include those representing the areas of Banks, Beaverton, Forest Grove, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin and Wilsonville.
