Oregon native returns with jazzy show
Hear the story behind the songs from the woman who wrote them
Oregon native and self-professed a capella geek Lisa Forkish will perform a set of jazzy songs at McMenamins Grand Lodge Friday.
The performance is a ripe opportunity for Forkish, who currently lives in the San Francisco bay area, to reconnect with her native Oregon (she grew up in Eugene) and try to raise funds for an album she's working on.
Forkish is currently raising money on the fundraising site Kickstarter for the production costs of an album. So far, 20 backers have pledged $835 of the $7,000 goal.
If you like what you see at her show on Friday, maybe you'll be the next.
Forkish will play a free, all-ages show at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30 at the Garage Door venue of McMenamins Grand Lodge, 3505 Pacific Ave. in Forest Grove.
