'Latin Influences' Art Exhibit - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays until Feb. 2, Gresham City Hall, Visual Arts Gallery, 1333 N.W. Eastman Parkway. The Gresham Art Committee's new exhibit has a Latin theme. The Grotto's Christmas Festival of Lights - 5 to 9:30 p.m. daily until Friday, Dec. 30, The Grotto, Northeast 85th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard, Portland. Several choirs from East County school districts are scheduled to perform at The Grotto's annual Christmas Festival of Lights. The event also features more than 500,000 lights, a petting zoo, carolers, puppet shows and hot chocolate. '2012 Sky Watch Preview' - 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, Mt. Hood Community College Planetarium, 26000 S.E. Stark St. Learn about special astronomical events of the coming year including projected solar activity, the transit of Venus, the 2012 opposition of Mars, several planet conjunctions, current space missions, eclipses and the hype of the movie '2012.' Planetarium Director Pat Hanrahan will use the college's star projector to show highlights of the current night sky. Presentations are 45 minutes, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions. 'A Country Bridal Affair' - Noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, Boring-Damascus Grange Hall, 27861 Grange St., Boring. This free bridal show is focused on weddings in rustic, outdoor settings in the Mount Hood area. Organizers say 15 to 20 Mount Hood area vendors, including wedding officiants, planners, caterers, photographers, caterers and florists will be in attendance. Attendees will also be able to speak with representatives from event rentals and view photographs of potential wedding locations. Raffle tickets for prizes cost $1 each.
