Barbara LeRoque

Barbara Joyce LeRoque, 83, of Prineville, passed away on May 30, 2012, after a prolonged illness. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
   Barbara was born on Dec. 28, 1928 in Bend, to Bruce and Gladys (Hoy) Burson. She graduated from Crook County High School in 1946. Barbara’s work history included working at First National Bank as a teller, a child care provider, a receptionist for Hudspeth Land and Livestock, and then Clear Pine Moulding for 20 years until her retirement.
   Barbara married Raymond LeRoque on April 28, 1950, at her parents’ home in Prineville, where they raised their children. After retiring, she and her husband enjoyed traveling to various motocross events that her husband was involved in.
   Barbara loved to camp, ride motorcycles with her husband and family, travel, and water ski in her younger years. She also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.
   Barbara is survived by her son, David Bruce (Margo) LeRoque of Gresham, Ore.; daughter, Kathy Rae (Daniel) Weatherman of Prineville; her beloved sister, Linda Smith of Prineville; niece, Geri Lynn George of Prineville; along with numerous other nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Blake Daniel Weatherman, Kimberlee Rae (Weatherman) Faile, Samuel Martin LeRoque, Andrew David LeRoque and Allison Janet (LeRoque) Papworth; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Delane Papworth, Morgan Grace Faile, and Emma Rae Faile.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond LeRoque, her parents, and two brothers.
