rles “Chuck” Henry Spillers, 77, of Prineville, passed away May 31, 2012. In accordance with his wishes no service will be held.
Chuck was born on June 25, 1934 in Russellville, Ark. to Woodrow and Gertrude (Moore) Spillers. He graduated from high school in Russellville before attending college. After school, Chuck ran two movie theatres in Russellville before running another theatre in Memphis, Tenn. He and his family moved to Washington before he finally settled in Prineville in 1979. Chuck went to work for Erickson’s Department Store in the shoe department, where he met Alice (Anderson). Chuck and Alice then married in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 12, 1995. After Erickson’s closed, he went to work for Clear Pine Lumber until 2008.
Chuck loved to travel, fish, explore, arrowhead hunt, and spend time with his family and friends.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Alice Spillers; four daughters, Kim, Sue (George), Stephanie (Rico) and Gretchen (Dennis); three stepsons, Daniel Harnden, Clifford Harnden, and David A. Harnden; two brothers, Brian and Danny; two sisters-in-law, Marge and Pat; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
