Rosenblum sworn in as Attorney General

Ellen Rosenblum was sworn in as interim Attorney General, appointed by Governor John Kitzhaber. Rosenblum makes history as Oregon's first woman Attorney General.
   The ceremony was held in the Governor's Ceremonial Officein Salem and featured remarks by Governor Barbara Roberts, Honorable Virginia Linder (Associate Justice, Oregon Supreme Court), Professor Peter Rosenblum (brother, Columbia University Law School) and Governor Kitzhaber.
   "As Attorney General I will lead the Department of Justice so that Oregon's interests are represented with the highest levels of ethics, professionalism and devotion to public service," Rosenblum said. "The Department of Justice should also be a voice for Oregonian's, protecting our most vulnerable citizens -- our children, our families, our seniors. I love our state. I can't tell you how honored I am to continue to serve Oregon. And, I'm so pleased to share this day with each of you, who have played important roles in my life and helped make history today."
