ie Elizabeth Sikes York was born on May 28, 1919 to John and Cora Sikes in Huntsville, Ark.
She passed away on the evening of Sept. 22, 2012 with her granddaughter, Mitzi by her side. She was 93 years old.
She moved to Prineville in 1949 where she lived for the rest of her life, except for the year she spent in Montana with her daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob, her sons Bobby and Howard Richardson, five brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Verma Jean (Jerry) of Montana, her son Jerry (Ida) of Myrtle Creek, Oregon, and a step-daughter Faye (John) of Albany, Ore. Seven granddaughters, 20 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Thanks so much to the Ochoco Care Center and Hospice of Prineville for taking such good care of her.
She was a gentle soul, and very kind hearted. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service was held at Juniper Haven Cemetery on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
